Aluminum Clad Steel Wire ACS AS 1222.2

Lightweight

Superior to aluminized steel

Better Corrosion resistant

Much more conductive than galvanized steel

Product Application

Commonly used for guying electrical distribution and transmission poles/towers. Equivalent alumoweld options available for common sizes of galvanized guy wire. Available in easy to handle coils or in custom drum lengths if preferred. It’s a tensioned cable designed to add stability to a free standing structure.

Product Structure

Aluminum clad steel wire is a bimetallic wire which steel wire is covered by aluminum evenly with advantages of good electric conductivity ,anti corrosion, good high frequency transmission and high intensity.

Product Feature

Aluminum clad steel cable features include:

Corrosion resistant in industrial, semi-industrial    and marine environments

Superior to aluminized steel

Lightweight

Same tensile strength as extra high strength steel    but weighs 15 percent less

Excellent conductivity–much more conductive than    galvanized steel and aluminum
